Here we are with a Winter Wear Designs blog tour. Thank you Suzanne for giving me the push I need to get things sewn. I’m excited to see the pjs and holiday formal wear that everyone has sewn for the tour!
Yes, I do need new winter pjs. Yes, I live in Arizona where it’s hot most of the year. But…it does get cold enough for long sleeve, long pant pjs, at least for a few months! Our home is kept pretty cool in the winter (usually somewhere around 69 degrees F). That means I get to wear all my winter clothes, long robe, etc. So I need the pjs for wearing around the house in the evenings. And what could be better than glitter snowflakes in our mild winter!
This cute snow globe glitter snowflakes print has been in my stash since my 21 year old daughter was little. This is one of those fabrics that was “too good to use”. You know the ones, the favorites that you are scared to cut into for fear of ruining it. I’m here to say, “Just use it; it’s only fabric”! Don’t be like me wearing a print that my daughter should have worn a long time ago!
I used the Refined Raglan for the top and Aviator Pants for the bottoms. I’ve sewn both a couple of times before. You can see my Aviator joggers in this blog post but I didn’t write about my Raglans.
Somehow, even though I’ve made this top before, I still managed to cut the wrong size. My top is a size or two bigger than I usually make in Winter Wear Designs but that’s OK since it’s pjs and they are comfortable!
Isn’t it interesting to see patterns used in a way different than intended? Be sure to check out the other bloggers on the tour for all kinds of holiday inspiration!
What a cozy pyama! I could use one too! I bet you will get much use of it!

Hahaha! Love that you’ve had the fabric so long – but now look, it was just meant for you and those pjs! 😉 They look so comfy!

They look so comfy! Great stash busting! Did you use a knit or a woven? And there must be a thing with cutting things out the wrong size this blog tour – I cut my skirt waistband two sizes to big, and didn’t realize until I already had the skirt pleated onto the waistband. . .

Haha, I guess I was just not paying attention. Sorry about your waistband! My fabric is a jersey knit.
